Essential Skills Ontario Benefit Plan

Employee Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Coverage features:
  • 1 x annual Earnings – maximum benefit of $75,000
  • Life coverage terminates at retirement or age 99, whichever is earlier
  • Coverage reduces 33% at age 65 and a further 50% at age 70
  • AD&D coverage terminates at retirement
A Compassionate Assistance plan is available with a waiver of premium benefit. The plan provides an advance loan on an employee’s Group life insurance benefit for terminally ill employees.
Dependent Life Insurance
Coverage features:
  • Spouse $5,000
  • Each dependent child $2,000
  • Dependent Child coverage from 24hrs. – to age 21 or 25 if a full- time student
  • Termination: same as Life Insurance
Extended Health Care
Coverage features:
  • Unlimited overall maximum
  • Hospital – Semi-private
